Help me feel better about leaving and use my old stuff

Sadly, I am leaving Ames… but for a good reason: to rejoin my wife Cynthia and start a new job in Oak Ridge, TN where we can once again live together. We have a big home out there with lots of room, so please visit us if you want to take a trip to the Smokeys or visit Nashville or are otherwise touring the southeast USA.

In the meantime, as we are consolidating two homes, there are a number of items that we will not need.

If it’s still on this page, that means it’s still available. No need to ask about availability.

Please see descriptions beneath the relevant photos, which include availability dates. Everything is “as is” and “you pick it up”. I’ll give you my address by email if you don’t know it already. Items only become “yours” and taken off this list when we make a firm pickup appointment. They are free, after all. :-)

ITEMS IN THIS SECTION ARE AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY THROUGH DEC 15

Ethan Allen couch with throw pillows. This couch could use a reupholstering due to some stains and cat damage. However, its underlying structure is great. You can certainly use it as is if you’re on a tight budget, but do be aware that it’s not in perfect aesthetic condition.

Stand fan. Inexpensive fan that I use for indoor cycling. (You can obviously use for whatever you want…) {i’d prefer to keep this until Dec 10 but will part with it if necessary.)

Small (19 inch) TV. Just a basic small flat screen TV suitable for a desk or kitchen. Nothing fancy. The front is just dirty, not damaged.

Igloo “Cube” cooler. Self explanatory.

Full/Double size box spring and bedframe (not the headboard). Bedframe is just a basic metal frame and does not dissemble all the way, so you’ll need a pickup or something to get it.

ITEMS BELOW THIS ARE AVAILABLE FROM DEC 10-15

Green couch This is an inexpensive lightweight couch but still in very good condition. It’s not perfect, but no pet-related damage nor undue staining or compression. A good find.

Floor rug (not the table nor loveseat in the picture) Nearly new in excellent condition

Teak dresser This is a good quality veneer piece of furniture. Only not taking it to the new home because we have enough dressers and It doesn’t match the other furniture. There is some wear at the bottom, but very little wear in places you’d notice.
